School has been in session for eight days and it is already evident that a lot of things are taking in place in the classrooms. As we walk the halls, visit classrooms, talk with teachers, students and parents, and listen to the interactions between the students and teachers, it appears that we are going to have a great year. What do you think? What are your expectations for this year? Are you as excited about the possibilities for this year as we are?

Technology in the Classroom
August 24th, 2007 — Classroom, Technology
Northside students have been in school for three days. We have enjoyed seeing our returning 7th and 8th graders as well as meeting the new 6th graders and new students to our school. The teachers have been busy designing lessons using the Promethean boards. Have you had a chance to use these boards yet? What are some things your teachers have been doing with these boards? Do you enjoy learning using these boards?
First Day of School
August 22nd, 2007 — Middle School
It was an exciting day at Northside Middle School. Our first day in a new building. After spending the summer months in the building with the construction crews, it was thrilling to see the building filled with students and teachers. What are your thoughts about today? How do you like the “Camelot Cafe”? What did you think about the gym? What is something that surprised you about our new building? Please share with us your thoughts.
